What you'll do
This session will guide you step-by-step through the creation of some sweet treats that you can share with your loved ones (or keep for yourself!) while engaging in food-justice-based discussions around body liberation and fat acceptance.
Learn how to make a delicious, seasonal galette or pie while engaging in food-justice-based discussions around body policing, weight stigma, body liberation, and fat acceptance. Learn how factors like white supremacy, anti-black racism, and ableism intersect with body policing.
FoodShare Toronto believes that all bodies are worthy, and have the right to exist as they are. There is no wrong way to have a body. Fusing a cooking class and anti-oppression training session, these unique virtual workshops led by local nonprofit FoodShare bring coworkers together to prepare a meal and consider their own role in the food system.
Materials to encourage personal learning around the themes explored during the workshop are delivered to participants both pre & post event
